5 years or more experience as a practicing technologist. Required to provide technical support to the Architectural staff. Experience in the preparation and delivery of construction drawings and on-site inspection during construction.
Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills are mandatory. Knowledge and extensive experience using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture and Revit. Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering tools such as Sketch-up, Enscape, Photoshop and Adobe Suite would also be considered an asset. Willingness to travel.
Candidate should have a basic understanding of the following:
- Design of institutional, industrial commercial and residential facilities;
- Renovation and new construction;
- Cost estimating and code application;
- Preparation of specifications;
- Co-ordination of architectural and engineering documents.
Must be self starting with a desire and ability to work with minimal direction and take a leadership and support role as part of an interdisciplinary team. A basic understanding of contract law fundamentals, project management and contract administration practices, office and business management techniques is highly desired.
Must hold a certificate from a recognized Technical College and be eligible for immediate registration as a Certified Engineering Technician in the local association. Preference given to candidates with combinations of additional skills, education, and experience.
