Five (5) years or more experience as a practicing technologist. Required to provide technical support to the Architectural staff. Experience in the preparation and delivery of construction drawings and on-site inspection during construction.
Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills are mandatory. Knowledge and extensive experience using Revit, AutoCAD & AutoCAD Architecture. Knowledge of 3D modeling tools such as Sketch-up would also be considered an asset. Willingness to travel.
Candidate should have a basic understanding of the following:
- Design of institutional, industrial commercial and residential facilities;
- Renovation and new construction;
- Code application (NBC 2015);
- Preparation of specifications;
- Co-ordination of architectural and engineering documents.
Must be self starting with a desire and ability to work with minimal direction and take a leadership and support role as part of an interdisciplinary team. A basic understanding of contract law fundamentals, project management and contract administration practices, office and business management techniques is highly desired.
Must hold a certificate from a recognized Technical College and be eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technician in the local association. Preference given to candidates with combinations of additional skills, education, and experience.
