Position based in Charlottetown, P.E.I. available for suitable Civil Engineering candidate with experience in the design of utility systems, including potable water distribution, storm and waste water collection, waste water treatment, and fire protection services for institutional and industrial facilities. Knowledge of the analysis and planning of traffic operations, intersection design and highway engineering design is considered an asset. Candidates must understand preparation of specifications and co-ordination of civil engineering documents, with hands on knowledge and use of leading civil engineering applications software; they must hold a B. Sc. Eng., or equivalent and must be able to be registered as an engineer (or E.I.T.) with Engineers PEI.
All of our applicants must possess excellent presentation, verbal, written and interpersonal skills; be capable of working in a team environment and a strong desire and ability to lead and/or participate in the design of new applications, systems and technologies; illustrate a high degree of computer technical competency using AutoCAD 2019, with experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D considered a plus. as well as specialized software applicable to their discipline; and be willing and able to travel nationally and abroad. Preference given to candidates with combinations of additional skills, education, and experience.
Must have a strong desire and ability to work with minimal direction in a leadership and support role as part of an interdisciplinary team developing and applying leading edge technologies. Ability to deal with sophisticated clients in diverse markets. An understanding of contract law fundamentals, project management and contract administration practices, office and business management techniques is highly desired.
